Sun
Moon Lake in Nantou County has
some of the most beautiful scenery
in Taiwan, and it will surely
be a stop for Chinese tourists
when, as anticipated, travel restrictions
are eased. Therefore, businesses
near the lake have been increasing
capacity, raising the standard
of service, preparing for the
arrival of this new group of expectedly
high rolling tourists.
Sun
Moon Lake's famed scenery, five-star
accomodations and local cuisine
are attractions expected to meet
with approval from Chinese tourists.

The Chinese tourists will want
to try local sharpbelly fish,
black tea, wild boar and shrimp,
said Zeng Guo-ji, head of the
local tourism office.
Enjoying
the delicacies made from ingredients
native to the Sun Moon Lake area,
right on the lake front is one
of the ultimate luxuries. But
aside from food, there are also
temples to be enjoyed in the area.
Businesses
in Nantou County have been preparing
for this next wave of tourists.

We've rebuilt the visitor center
parking lot, added capacity so
30 more busses and 200 cars can
park here, said Zeng. If we run
out of rooms at hotels near the
lake, there are also plenty of
accomodations within an hour's
drive.
Hoping
to claim a share of the Chinese tourists'
spending, both businesses and the
tourism office have been preparing
hard, and are now ready for business.
